Black walnut shelving with angled oak tambour cabinet

Commissioned for a vinyl enthusiasts storage. The front edge of the shelving is designed to be reminicent of a tone arm on a record player. All shelves were templated to the out of square alcove and slid onto their own hardwood batons with no visible fixings. The tambours handle is a miniature version of the shelves.

American White Oak kitchen shelves

A disorganised and tired looking space has been transformed into a statement piece. The gentle corner radius on the shelves helps the flow of the room immensely, no harsh edges here... Each shelf is slotted into its own hidden grove and 14mm hidden bracket for strength. The wall fixings are also concealed within the grove. Four coats of water based polyurethane has helped to retain the natural colour of the wood for a modern look. The back panel is MDF with an acid-catalyst lacquer in the colour specified by the client.

This banquette was commissioned for a kitchen along side an accompanying 'shoebox' for storage. The clients requested a 5 degree angle on the seat and a 108 degree angle on the back rest. I used left over SeiMatic carcasses with custom MDF drawers and sprayed fronts with a simple circular cutout. All internals are waxed to help prevent future squeaking. The bench is topped with reclaimed 18mm oak flooring sanded to 180 grit, brass screws and finished with polyurathene varnish. A solid bench that will last for decades.

Oak radiator shelving

This oak and painted mdf radiator cover was commissioned to transform an ugly unused radiator into an attractive area for books and plants. There is a gap at the top and bottom to allow for convection if the radiator is ever used again.

Ash partition -

This ash and mdf panel dividing wall was commissioned in place of a traditional studwork and plasterboard structure to enhance a studio space. A sense of private separation yet with a visual connection and openness is created. The custom glass partitions allow natural light to flow freely through the space creating a brighter natural atmosphere which tremendously enhances the aesthetics of the studio. Visible in one of the images is the electrical conduit and LED lighting along with rockwool insulation. The client was delighted with the space and light created by this piece.
